About Creator Primer

Business advice for adult content creators — the practical, unglamorous parts nobody explains up front.

What this is

Creator Primer publishes guides on the business side of adult content creation: marketing, pricing, taxes, privacy, and dealing with agencies. It hosts no explicit content and never will.

Most advice aimed at creators is either anonymous, out of date, or written by someone selling something. The aim here is narrower: fewer articles, each sourced, dated, and honest about its limits.

Who writes it

Creator Primer is a one-person project. Articles are researched and written by the site's author, not by a team of credentialed professionals — and where a guide touches legal, tax, or financial territory, it links the primary sources so you can check the reasoning rather than take it on faith.

Nothing here is reviewed by an attorney or accountant. If an article ever is, it will say so, with a name, a credential, and a date.

How to judge an article

Each guide shows:

  • When it was published and last updated. Platform rules change constantly; an undated guide is worthless.
  • Its sources. Where a claim comes from platform terms or a tax authority, it's linked.
  • What it isn't. Every article carries the disclaimer appropriate to its subject.

No sponsorship

No agency, platform, or tool pays for coverage here. There are no affiliate links. If that ever changes, it will be disclosed on the article itself rather than buried on this page.

Corrections

If something here is wrong or out of date, that's worth knowing — and correcting quickly matters more on a one-person site than on a big one. Corrections are made in place, with the updated date changed.
